Can you hack it?

Join Techstars, 43North, and BNMC for a free hackathon, where WNY’s top tech talent will compete to build an application using leading technology. Get your code on as you race to finish our challenge, working with the help of mentors and industry experts.

{Code:Buffalo} is FREE to attend, and you can bring your own team or join one at the kickoff event (you must have basic coding skills to participate). Please bring your own laptop and charger for the duration of the hackathon, as well as your admission ticket.


Friday, June 14th – dig Buffalo (640 Ellicott Street, Buffalo)

  • 6:30pm – Kickoff and happy hour
  • 7:00pm – Roundtable with Geoff Schmidt, Co-Founder & CEO of Apollo GraphQL
  • 7:45pm – GraphQL intro session with Alex Kogan, CTO of HiOperator

Saturday, June 15th – University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine Atrium (955 Main Street, Buffalo)

  • 10:00am – Breakfast
  • 11:00am-10:00pm – Teams work independently

Sunday, June 16th – dig Buffalo (640 Ellicott Street, Buffalo)

  • 10:30am – Brunch
  • 12:00pm – Judge Introductions
  • 12:15pm – Top 10 Presentation
  • 1:15pm – Awards Ceremony
